Visa to Russia
Traveling to Russia requires VISA, and it's nothing about Visa/Mastercard :)
Yes, It takes some time and money.
But, don’t be afraid, getting Russian visa is not that hard as you might heard about.
Here is something you will need to do:

* Book your flights (make sure you chose the right dates)
* Book a hotel (information how to do it on Venue page here)
* Prepare these documents:
- your international passport (expiry date should be at least 6 months after the end of the trip)
- 2 visa applications, filled and signed
- photo 3,5*4,5 cm, signed from behind. Some consulates ask for 2 photos
- medical insurance policy (if required)
- invitation (or tourist voucher) – let us know, if you need one, we could help using tourist agency (cost is about 25-30euro)

* Apply for a TOURIST visa type. It's easy to get.

* Bring all the documents to Russian Embasy / Russian Consulate in your city (it’s also possible to mail documents, check with your consulate) and you will get visa in 3-10 working days.
Yes, you have to bring/send your passport there to. If you are going to travel during this time and will use your passport, then find another time for applying.

Note that: in some countries the visa processing takes up to 4 weeks; please be sure that you have enough time.
Also, we have holidays such as Russian Christmas in January 7, Defender of the Fatherland Day in Februsry 23, Women's Day in March 8, so the consulate may be closed at that time and some days around (better to check in Consulate web site)

You can also apply via a tourist agency, which saves your time, but makes additional costs.
